Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Stitch: 

Work with a multiple of 9 sts + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 20 sts (9 + 9 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, purl all sts and yo’s.

The patt rep = 9 sts wide.

Repeat patt between edge stitches throughout.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

Row 1: edge st, * k1, yo, k2, k2tog, skpo, yo, k2 *; repeat from * to *; edge st.

Row 3: edge st, * k2, yo, k1, k2tog, k4 *; repeat from * to *; edge st.

Row 5: edge st, * k3, yo, k2tog, skpo, k2, yo *; repeat from * to *; edge st.

Row 7: edge st, * k5, skpo, k1, yo, k1 *; repeat from * to *; edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-8 throughout.
