Diamond Stitch Knitting Pattern
How to knit Diamond Stitch:
Work with a multiple of 17 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.
Cast on 20 stitches (17 + 1 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.
The chart shows only Right Side Rows.
On Wrong Side Rows, work all sts as they appear or as given in instructions.
The pattern repeat = 17 stitches wide.
Begin with 1 edge stitch, work patt rep throughout, end with 1 stitch after patt rep and 1 edge stitch.
Abbreviation:
k: Knit
p: Purl
Cross 3 Right: slip 1 stitch to cable needle, hold to back, K2, K1 from cable needle
Cross 3 Left: slip 2 stitches to cable needle, hold to front, K1, K2 from cable needle
Cross 3 Right (k/p): slip 1 stitch to cable needle, hold to back, K2, P1 from cable needle
Cross 3 Left (p/k): slip 2 stitches to cable needle, hold to front, P1, K2 from cable needle
C4F: slip 2 stitches to cable needle, hold to front, K2, K2 from cable needle
gst (1 stitch in garter stitch): knit in right side and wrong side rows
slstwithyo: make 1 yarn over, pass 1 stitch over on the right needle purlwise. On wrong side row, purl this stitch with yo together
