Leaf Stitch Knitting Pattern

Work with a multiple of 31 stitches + 8 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 41 stitches (31 + 8 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, work all sts as they appear or as given in instructions, purl any yarn-over loops.

The pattern repeat = 31 stitches wide.

Begin with 1 edge stitch, work patt rep throughout, end with 8 stitches after patt rep and 1 edge stitch.

k: Knit

p: Purl

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together as one

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

gst (1 st in garter stitch): purl in right side and wrong side rows

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows (wrong side): work each stitch as it appears on this side of work (knit the k sts and purl the p sts) and purl any yarn-over loops.
