Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Stitch: 

Work with a multiple of 25 sts + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 27 sts (25 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, work sts as they appear; work yo’s P.

The patt rep = 25 sts wide.

Repeat patt between edge stitches throughout.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

Row 1: edge st, * (p1, k1) 4 times, yo, k3, cdd, k3, yo, (k1, p1) 4 times *; repeat from * to *; edge st.

Row 3: edge st, * p1, yo, skpo, (p1, k1) 3 times, yo, k2, cdd, k2, yo, (k1, p1) 3 times, k2tog, yo, p1 *; repeat from * to *; edge st.

Row 5: edge st, * (p1, k1) 4 times, k2, yo, k1, cdd, k1, yo, k2, (k1, p1) 4 times *; repeat from * to *; edge st.

Row 7: edge st, * p1, yo, skpo, (p1, k1) 3 times, k2, yo, cdd, yo, k2, (k1, p1) 3 times, k2tog, yo, p1 *; repeat from * to *; edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-8 throughout.
