Cast on 52 stitches (50 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side rows.

On Wrong Side rows, work stitches as they appear, when working purl garter stitch purl the stitches.

purl gst (1 st in garter stitch): purl in right side and wrong side rows
C8B (k4+purl gst4): slip 4 sts to cable needle, hold to back, k4, purl gst4 from cable needle
C8B (purl gst4+k4): slip 4 sts to cable needle, hold to back, purl gst4, k4 from cable needle
C8F (purl gst4+k4): slip 4 sts to cable needle, hold to front, purl gst4, k4 from cable needle
C8F (k4+purl gst4): slip 4 sts to cable needle, hold to front, k4, purl gst4 from cable needle

Rows 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 (right side): edge st, p2, purl gst4, k4, p2, k2, p2, purl gst4, k10, purl gst4, p2, k2, p2, k4, purl gst4, p2, edge st.

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows (wrong side): work each stitch as it appears on this side of work (k the k sts and p the p sts), when working purl garter stitch purl the stitches.
