How to knit Leaf Stitch:
Work with a multiple of 18 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.
Cast on 39 sts (9 + 18 + 10 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.
The chart shows only Right Side Rows.
On Wrong Side rows, work all sts as they appear; work yo's P.
The patt rep = 18 stitches wide.
Begin with 1 edge st and 9 stitches before patt rep, work patt repeat throughout, end with 10 stitches after patt and 1 edge st.
k: knit
p: purl
yo: yarn over
k2tog: knit 2 stitches together
skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch
cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch
Row 1 (RS): edge st, k6, p3, * k1, p3, k11, p3 *; repeat from * to *; k1, p3, k6, edge st.
Row 2 and all even-numbered rows (WS): work each stitch as it appears on this side of work (knit the k sts and purl the p sts) and purl any yarn-over loops.
