Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Stitch:

Work with a multiple of 12 sts + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 15 sts (12 + 1 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, purl all sts and yo’s.

The patt rep = 12 sts wide.

Begin with 1 edge st, work patt rep throughout, end with 1 stitch after patt rep and 1 edge st.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

ssk: slip one stitch as if to knit, slip another stitch as if to knit. Insert left-hand needle into front of these 2 sts and knit them together.

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

Row 1: knit all stitches.

Row 3: edge st, * (k1, yo) twice, ssk twice, k1, k2tog twice, yo, k1, yo *; repeat from * to *; k1, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, * k2, yo, k1, yo, ssk, cdd, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, k1 *; repeat from * to *; k1, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, * k5, yo, cdd, yo, k4 *; repeat from * to *; k1, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-8 throughout.
