Leaf Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Leaf Stitch:

Work with a multiple of 16 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 19 sts (16 + 1 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side rows, work all sts as they appear; work yo's P.

Begin with 1 edge st, work patt repeat throughout, end with 1 stitch after patt and 1 edge st.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

Row 1: edge st, * k2, p3, k7, p3, k1 *; repeat from * to *; k1, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, * k1, yo, skpo, p3, k5, p3, k2tog, yo *; repeat from * to *; k1, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, * k1, yo, k1, skpo, p3, k3, p3, k2tog, k1, yo *; repeat from * to *; k1, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, * k1, yo, k2, skpo, p3, k1, p3, k2tog, k2, yo *; repeat from * to *; k1, edge st.
