Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

Work with a multiple of 30 stitches + 3 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 35 stitches (30 + 3 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, work stitches as they appear; purl yarn-over loops. 

The pattern repeat = 30 stitches wide.

Begin with 1 edge stitch, work patt rep throughout, end with 3 stitches after patt rep and 1 edge stitch.

k: Knit

p: Purl

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together as one

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

Row 1 (right side): edge stitch, * p3, k3, p5, k2tog, k2, yo, k3, yo, k2, skpo, p5, k3 *; repeat from * to *; end with p3, edge stitch.

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows (wrong side): work stitches as they appear on this side of work; purl yarn-over loops.

Row 3: edge stitch, * p3, k3, p4, k2tog, k2, yo, k1, yo, cdd, yo, k1, yo, k2, skpo, p4, k3 *; repeat from * to *; end with p3, edge stitch.

Row 5: edge stitch, * p3, k3, p3, k2tog, k2, yo, skpo, yo, k3, yo, k2tog, yo, k2, skpo, p3, k3 *; repeat from * to *; end with p3, edge stitch.

Row 7: edge stitch, * p3, k3, p2, k2tog, k2, yo, skpo, yo, k1, yo, cdd, yo, k1, yo, k2tog, yo, k2, skpo, p2, k3 *; repeat from * to *; end with p3, edge stitch.
