Aran Cable Knitting Pattern

Work with a multiple of 28 stitches + 8 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 38 stitches (2 + 28 + 6 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side rows.

On Wrong Side rows, work all stitches as they appear.

The pattern repeat = 28 stitches wide.

Begin with 1 edge stitch and 2 stitches before patt rep, work patt rep throughout, end with 6 stitches after patt rep and 1 edge stitch.

k: Knit

p: Purl

C4F: slip 2 stitches to cable needle, hold to front, K2, K2 from cable needle

C4B: slip 2 stitches to cable needle, hold to back, K2, K2 from cable needle

C4Fp: slip 2 stitches to cable needle, hold to front, P2, K2 from cable needle

C4Bp: slip 2 stitches to cable needle, hold to back, K2, P2 from cable needle

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows (wrong side): work each stitch as it appears on this side of work (k the k sts and p the p sts).
