How to knit Simple Stitch:
Multiple of 7 + 2 edge sts.
Cast on 16 sts (1 + 7 + 6 + 2 edge sts) and work according to сhart.
The chart shows only RS rows.
On WS rows, purl all sts.
The pat rep = 7 sts wide.
Rows 1, 3, 5 and 7: edge st, k1, * p5, k2, repeat from * to last 7 sts, p5, k1, edge st.
Rows 9 and 11: edge st, p1, * k5, p2, repeat from * to last 7 sts, k5, p1, edge st.
Repeat rows 1-12 throughout.
