Leaf Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Leaf Stitch:

Work with multiple of 33 stitches + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 35 sts (33 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side rows, purl all sts and yo's.

The patt rep = 33 sts wide.

Repeat patt between edge stitches throughout.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

K3tog: knit 3 stitches together

sk2p: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 2 together and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted together stitches

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

Row 1: edge st, * k13, yo, k2, cdd, k2, yo, k13; repeat from *, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, * k10, k2tog, yo, k2, yo, k1, cdd, k1, yo, k2, yo, skpo, k10; repeat from *, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, * k8, k3tog, (k1, yo) twice, k2, yo, cdd, yo, k2, (yo, k1) twice, sk2p, k8; repeat from *, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, * k6, k3tog, k2, (yo, k1) twice, k2tog, (k1, yo) twice, k1, skpo, (k1, yo) twice, k2, sk2p, k6; repeat from *, edge st.

Row 9: edge st, * k4, k3tog, k3, (yo, k1) twice, k2tog, k2, yo, k1, yo, k2, skpo, (k1, yo) twice, k3, sk2p, k4; repeat from *, edge st.
