How to knit Lace Stitch:

Work with a multiple of 18 stitches + 13 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 33 sts (6 + 18 + 7 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, work sts as they appear; work yo’s P. 

The patt rep = 18 sts wide.

Begin with 1 edge st and 6 sts before patt rep, work patt repeat throughout, end with 7 sts after patt rep and 1 edge st.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

Row 1: edge st, yo, k4, k2tog, * k1, skpo, k4, yo, k5, yo, k4, k2tog *; repeat from * to *; k1, skpo, k4, yo, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, k1, yo, k3, k2tog, * k1, skpo, k3, yo, k3, p1, k3, yo, k3, k2tog *; repeat from * to *; k1, skpo, k3, yo, k1, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, k2, yo, k2, k2tog, * k1, skpo, k2, yo, k3, p1, k1, p1, k3, yo, k2, k2tog *; repeat from * to *; k1, skpo, k2, yo, k2, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, k3, yo, k1, k2tog, * k1, skpo, k1, yo, k3, (p1, k1) twice, p1, k3, yo, k1, k2tog *; repeat from * to *; k1, skpo, k1, yo, k3, edge st.

Rows 9 and 13: edge st, p1, skpo, yo, k1, yo, k2tog, * k1, skpo, yo, k1, yo, k2tog, (p1, k1) 3 times, p1, skpo, yo, k1, yo, k2tog *; repeat from * to *; k1, skpo, yo, k1, yo, k2tog, p1, edge st.
