Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Stitch:

Work with multiple of 12 stitches + 9 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 23 sts (4 + 12 + 5 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, work sts as they appear; work yo’s P.

The pat rep = 12 sts wide.

Begin with 1 edge st and 4 sts before patt rep, work patt rep throughout, end with 5 sts after patt and 1 edge st.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

Row 1: edge st, k2, skpo, yo, * k1, yo, k2tog, k2, p3, k2, skpo, yo, repeat from * to last 6 sts, k1, yo, k2tog, k2, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, k1, skpo, yo, k1, * k2, yo, k2tog, k1, p3, k1, skpo, yo, k1, repeat from * to last 6 sts, k2, yo, k2tog, k1, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, k2, yo, k2tog, * k1, skpo, yo, k2, p3, k2, yo, k2tog, repeat from * to last 6 sts, k1, skpo, yo, k2, edge st.
