Lace Cable Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Cable Stitch:

Work with a multiple of 27 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 30 sts (27 + 1 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, work all sts as they appear; work yo's Purl.

The patt rep = 27 sts wide.

Begin with 1 edge st, work patt rep throughout, end with stitch after patt rep and 1 edge st.

yo: yarn over

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

C4F: slip 2 sts to cable needle, hold to front, K2, K2 from cable needle

C4B: slip 2 sts to cable needle, hold to back, K2, K2 from cable needle

Row 1: edge st, * p1, k4, p1, k7, p5, k4, p1, k4 *; repeat from * to *, p1, edge st.

Row 2 and every even row: work each stitch as it appears on this side of work (knit the k sts and purl the p sts) and purl any yarn-over loops.

Row 3: edge st, * p1, C4B, p1, C4F, yo, k2, skpo, p4, C4B, p1, C4F *; repeat from * to *, p1, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, * p1, k4, p1, k4, p1, yo, k2, skpo, p3, k4, p1, k4 *; repeat from * to *, p1, edge st.
