How to knit Lace Cable Stitch:

Work with a multiple of 25 stitches + 4 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 31 sts (25 + 4 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows Right Side and Wrong Side rows.

The numbers at right edge of chart indicate RS rows, and at left edge WS rows.

Read RS rows from right to left, WS rows from left to right.

The patt rep = 25 sts wide.

yo: yarn over

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

C6F: slip 3 sts to cable needle, hold to front, K3, K3 from cable needle

C6B: slip 3 sts to cable needle, hold to back, K3, K3 from cable needle

Row 1: edge st, * k4, p2, k17, p2 *; repeat from * to *, k4, edge st.

Rows 2 and 4: edge st, p4, * k2, p17, k2, p4 *; repeat from * to *, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, * k4, p2, C6B, k5, C6F, p2 *; repeat from * to *, k4, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, * k4, p2, k4, yo, k3, cdd, k3, yo, k4, p2 *; repeat from * to *, k4, edge st

Rows 6, 8, 10 and 12: edge st, k4, * k2, p17, k6 *; repeat from * to *, edge st.
