Lace Cable Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Cable Stitch:

Work with multiple of 22 stitches + 4 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 28 sts (22 + 4 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, purl all sts and yo's.

The patt rep = 22 sts wide.

Begin with 1 edge st, work patt rep throughout, end with 4 sts after patt rep and 1 edge st.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

sk2p: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 2 together and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted together stitches

C6F: slip 3 sts to cable needle, hold to front, K3, K3 from cable needle

Row 1: edge st, * p4, k1, yo, skpo, k1, k2tog, yo, k6, yo, skpo, k1, k2tog, yo, k1 *; repeat from * to *, p4, edge st.

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows: purl all sts and yo's.

Row 3: edge st, * p4, k2, yo, sk2p, yo, k8, yo, sk2p, yo, k2 *; repeat from * to *, p4, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, * p4, k1, yo, skpo, k1, k2tog, yo, k6, yo, skpo, k1, k2tog, yo, k1 *; repeat from * to *, p4, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, * p4, k2, yo, sk2p, yo, k1, C6F, k1, yo, sk2p, yo, k2 *; repeat from * to *, p4, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-8 throughout.
