Fancy Diamond Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Fancy Diamond Stitch:

Work with a multiple of 13 sts + 5 + 2 edge sts.

Cast on 20 sts (2 + 13 + 3 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, work sts as they appear, work sts of Garter Stitch K.

The patt rep = 13 sts wide.

Begin with 1 edge st and 2 sts before patt rep, work patt rep throughout, end with 3 sts after patt rep and 1 edge st.

gst (1 st in garter stitch): work K in RS and WS rows

2-st RT: skip 1 st, knit 2nd st before first st, without dropping from LH needle, knit the first st, drop both sts from LH needle

2-st RTp: knit 2nd st before first st, without dropping from LH needle, purl the first st, drop both sts from LH needle

2-st LTp: purl 2nd st behind first st, without dropping from LH needle, knit the first st, drop both sts from LH needle

Row 1 (RS): edge st, p2, * p6, 2-st RT, p5 *; repeat from * to *; p3, edge st.

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows (WS): work sts as they appear, work sts of Garter Stitch K.

Row 3: edge st, p2, * p5, 2-st RTp, 2-st LTp, p4 *; repeat from * to *; p3, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, gst2, * gst4, 2-st RTp, p2, 2-st LTp, gst3 *; repeat from * to *; gst3, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, gst2, * gst3, 2-st RTp, p4, 2-st LTp, gst2 *; repeat from * to *; gst3, edge st.

Row 9: edge st, gst2, * gst3, k1, p6, k1, gst2 *; repeat from * to *; gst3, edge st.
