How to knit Relief Stitch:
Work with a multiple of 4 stitches + 3 + 2 edge stitches.
Cast on 17 sts (4 + 4 + 4 + 3 + 2 edge sts) and work according to сhart.
The chart shows Right Side rows and Wrong Side rows.
The patt rep = 4 sts.
Row 1 (RS): edge st, * p3, k1 *; repeat from * to *, ending with p3, edge st.
Rows 2 and 4 (WS): purl all sts.
Row 3: edge st, p1, * k1, p3 *; repeat from * to *, ending with k1, p1, edge st.
Repeat these 4 rows for pattern.
