How to knit Lace Checker Stitch:

Work with a multiple of 14 + 7 + 2 edge sts.

Cast on 23 sts (14 + 7 + 2 edge sts) and work according to сhart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, work sts as they appear; work yo’s P.

The patt rep = 14 sts wide.

Begin with 1 edge st, work patt repeat throughout, end with 7 sts after patt rep and 1 edge st.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

Rows 1, 5, 9 and 13: edge st, * k4, yo, k2tog, k1, p7 *; repeat from * to *; k4, yo, k2tog, k1, edge st.

Rows 3, 7 and 11: edge st, * k1, skpo, yo, k11 *; repeat from * to *; k1, skpo, yo, k4, edge st.

Rows 15, 19, 23 and 27: edge st, p7, k4, yo, k2tog, k1 *; repeat from * to *; p7, edge st.

Rows 17, 21 and 25: edge st, k8, skpo, yo, k4 *; repeat from * to *; k7, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-28 throughout.
