Wide Collar Tunic

Sizes: 8/10 (US 6/8).

MATERIALS

Yarn: 700 g Cisne Divine (78% Acrylic, 21% Wool, 1% Polyester, yardage: 150m / 100g), one pair quick knit needles and one circular needle, size 6 mm (US 10) and 6.5 mm (US 10.5).

Rib Pat: alt K3, P3.

Lace Pattern:

Work according to chart. RS and WS rows are shown with RS of work facing.

Rep rows 1-10 throughout.

Gauge:

in lace pattern: 14 sts and 22 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Full-Fashioned Decrease:

At beg of row, selv st, P1, skpo (slip 1 kwise, K1, pass slipped stitch over), work pat to the last 4 sts, at end of row k2tog, P1, selv st.

Back:

With 6 mm needles, cast on 86 sts and work 15 cm in Rib Pat while inc evenly 12 sts across last row = 74 sts.

Cont in lace patt.

Armhole shaping: when piece measures 59 cm from beg, bind off 7 sts at each end and then dec 1 st 9 times on every 2nd row in full fashion.

When piece measures 10 cm from beg, bind off all sts.

Front: Work same as back.

SLEEVES

With 6 mm needles cast on 38 sts and work in Rib Pat for 10 cm.

Cont to work in Lace pattern while beg and end with P4.

Sleeve Shaping: Inc 1 st 7 times on every 10th row at each end.

Sleeve Cap: When piece measures 48 cm from beg, bind off 7 sts at each end and then dec 1 st 9 times on every 2nd row in full fashion.

On Row 45 from Cap Shaping beg, bind off rem 6 sts.

FINISHING

Sew in sleeves, join side and sleeve seams.

Collar: With circular needle 6 mm, pick up 117 sts around neck edge and work 6 rows in Rib Patt.

Then change to circular needle 6.5 mm and cont 28 cm in Rib Pat, then bind off sts.
