Sweater in Fancy Pattern

Size: 10 (US 8).

Materials:

Yarn: 500 g (100% Acrylic, yardage = 280 m/100 g); one circular needle size 4 mm (US 6).

Fancy Rib Pattern:

Work according to chart 1. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.

Repeat Rows 1-4 throughout.

Fancy Pattern:

Work according to chart 2. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.

Repeat Rows 1-40 throughout.

Cable Patt:

Work according to chart 3. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.

Repeat Rows 1-24 throughout.

Back:

Cast on 110 sts and work 6 cm in Fancy Rib Patt.

Cont in Fancy Pattern with cables acc to charts 2 and 3.

When piece measures 53 cm from beg, bind off all sts.

Front:

Work like back, but with neckline.

Neckline Shaping: When piece measures 50 cm from beg, bind off center 30 sts and complete both sides separately.

For neckline rounding, at each end bind off 4 sts once, 2 sts once and 1 st 3 times on every 2nd row.

When piece measures 53 cm from beg, bind off all sts.

Sleeves:

Cast on 36 sts and work 6 cm in Fancy Rib Patt.

Cont in Fancy Pattern.

Sleeve Shaping: inc 1 st 12 times on either side on every 6th row = 60 sts.

When piece measures 46 cm from beg, bind off all sts.

Finishing:

Sew the right shoulder seam.

Collar: Pick up sts along outside neckline edge and work 17 cm in Fancy Rib Patt.

Sew the left shoulder seam and sew the collar tog.

Sew side and sleeve seams. Set in sleeves.
