Pullover with Leaf Pattern

Size: 10/12 (US 8/10).

Materials:

Yarn: 500 g (50% Wool, 50% Acrylic, yardage = 123 m/100 g); 1 pair knit needles and one circular needle, both size US 8 (5 mm); crochet hook size 3.5 mm; 1 stitch holder.

Reverse stocking stitch (Rev St st): work RS rows P and WS rows K.

Leaf Pattern:

Work according to chart 1. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yos.

Rep rows 1-34 throughout.

Cable Pattern:

Work according to chart 2. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.

Repeat rows 1 and 2.

Gauge: 16 sts and 20 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back:

Cast on 60 sts + 2 selv sts working long-tail cast on and work in Leaf Pattern for 67 rows.

Starting with Row 68 from beg, work as foll: selv st, * 6 sts in Cable Pattern, rep from * 10 times, selv st.

Armhole Shaping: On Row 68 from beg, bind off 1 st at each end, then on every 2nd row 1 st 7 times = 46 sts.

Neckline Shaping: On Row 101 from beg, bind off center 20 sts and complete both sides separately. 

On Row 105 from beg, bind off rem 13 sts each side for shoulders.

Front:

Work like back, but with deeper neckline.

On Row 79 from beg, bind off center 4 sts and on either side of them bind off 1 st 8 times every other row.

On Row 105 from beg, bind off rem 13 sts each side for shoulders.

Sleeves:

Cast on 32 sts working long-tail cast on and work 10 rows as foll: selv st, 30 sts in Cable Pattern, selv st.

Cont to work 32 rows in Leaf Pattern.

Sleeve Shaping: On Row 23 from beg, inc 1 stitch at each end, then 1 st 9 times on every 2nd row = 52 sts.

Cap Shaping: On Row 43 from beg, bind off 1 st at each end, then on every 2nd row 1 st 19 times.

On Row 83 from beg, bind off rem 12 sts.

Finishing:

Close shoulder seams.

Sew side and sleeve seams. Set in sleeves.

With crochet hook, work 1 rnds sc (single crochet) around neck edge.
