Pullover with Figured Edging

Size: XL-XXL

Materials:

Yarn: 500 g (40% mohair, 60% acrylic, yardage = 500 m/100 g, 2 strands hold tog); 1 pair quick knit needles size 4 mm (US 6) and one circular needle size 3 mm (US 4).

The pullover is worked with double strand.

Seed Sticth: Even no of sts.

Row 1: K1, P1.

Rows 2-4: Work in pattern.

Row 3: P1, K1.

Repeat rows 1-4 throughout.

Gauge: 18.5 sts and 24 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back:

Using 4 mm needles, cast on 121 sts and purl 2 rows.

Cont in patt: selv st, rep patt 4 times, work sts 1-23 once, selv st. 

Armhole Shaping: When piece measures 42 cm from beg, at each end bind off 10 sts, then 3 sts once, 2 sts once and 1 st 5 times on every 2nd row = 81 sts. 

When work measures 64 cm from beg, bind off all sts.

Front: 

Work as given for back, but for the neck shaping, after 57 cm from beg, bind off center 19 sts and complete both sides separately. 

For rounding at inside edge on every 2nd row bind off 2 sts twice and 1 st 3 times. 

When work measures 64 cm from beg, bind off rem 24 sts each side for shoulders.

Sleeves: 

Using 4 mm needles, cast on 51 sts and purl 2 rows.

Cont in patt: selv st, K1, rep patt twice, selv st. 

Sleeve Slants: Inc 1 st in St st each side on every 4th and 6th row alternately 17 times = 85 sts. 

Cont until work meas 36 cm from beg. Shape sleeve cap: bind off at each end 3 sts once, 2 sts twice, 1 st 17 times, 2 sts twice, 3 sts once and rem 23 sts once on every 2nd row.

Finishing: 

Sew shoulder seams. 

For band, with circular needle, cast on 102 sts evenly around neck edge from RS and work 6 cm in Seed Stitch in rnds. Bind off sts.

Fold band in half to WS and sew in place. 

Sew side and sleeve seams. Set in sleeves.
