Materials:
Yarn: 700 g (100% Indonesian Cotton, yardage = 1650 m/100 g, 8 strands held tog); one pair quick knit needles size 4 mm (US 6) and one circular needle size 2.5 mm (US 1.5).
Rib Pattern 2x2: alt K2, P2.
Rib Pattern 1x1: K1, P1 Rib.
Reverse stocking stitch (Rev st st): Work RS rows P and WS rows K.
Cable Pattern (over 8 sts):
Work according to chart 1. Only RS rows are shown.
On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.
Small Cable (over 2 sts):
On RS rows, slip 1 st onto cn, hold at back of work, k1, k1 from cn.
On WS rows, work P.
Diamond Pattern (over 26 sts):
Work according to chart 2. Only RS rows are shown.
On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.
Back:
Cast on 110 sts and work 7 cm in Rib Patt 2x2. Inc 24 sts evenly across last WS row = 134 sts.

Armhole Shaping: When piece measures 42 cm from beg, bind off 10 sts once and 1 st once at each end on every 2nd row.
Continue even.
Neckline Shaping: When armhole measures 18.5 cm from beg, bind off center 28 sts and complete both sides separately.
For rounding at inside edge bind off 3 sts twice and 2 sts twice on every 2nd row.
When armhole measures 20 cm, bind off rem 32 sts for shoulder.
Front:
Work like back, but with deeper neckline.
When armhole measures 14.5 cm from beg, bind off center 28 sts and complete both sides separately.
For rounding at inside edge bind off 3 sts twice and 2 sts twice on every 2nd row.
When armhole measures 20 cm, bind off rem 32 sts for shoulder.
Sleeves:
Cast on 54 sts and work 7 cm in Rib Patt 2x2. Inc 12 sts evenly across last WS row = 66 sts.
Cont as foll: selv st, 18 sts in Rev St st, 2 x (8 sts in Cable Pattern, 2 sts in Rev St st), 8 sts in Cable Pattern, 18 sts in Rev St st, selv st.
Sleeve Slants: Inc 1 stitch after every 3.5 cm at each end = 90 sts.
Cap Shaping: Bind off 6 sts once, 5 sts once, 4 sts once, 3 sts once, 2 sts once, 1 st 5 times, 2 sts once, 3 sts once, 4 sts once, 5 sts once, 6 sts once at both ends on every 2nd row.
Finishing:
Sew shoulder seams.
Sew side and sleeve seams. Set in sleeves.
For band, with circular needle, pick up 100 sts evenly around neck edge from RS and work 23 rnds in Rib Patt 1x1. Bind off all sts.
Fold neckband to wrong side and sew in place.
