Materials:
Yarn: 390 g (49% Wool, 51% Acrylic, yardage = 225 m/100 g); one pair quick knit needles and one circular needle, both size US 6 (4 mm).
Rib Pattern: alt K1 tbl (hrough the back of the loop), P1.
On WS rows, work sts as they appear; work purl tbl the knit tbl.
Lace Pattern:
Work according to chart. RS rows and partly both RS and WS rows are shown.
On WS Rows 1-12, work all sts as they appear, work yos P.
Repeat Rows 1-24.
Gauge:
in Lace Pattern: 19 sts and 27 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Back:
Cast on 87 sts and work 3 rows in Rib Patt.
Cont as foll: selv st, 11 sts in Rib Patt, * 19 sts in Lace Patt, 3 sts in Rib Patt, rep from * once, 19 sts in Lace Pat, 11 sts in Rib Patt, selv st.
Work 100 rows in pats as established.
Armhole Shaping: In Row 101 from Lace Pattern beg, bind off 4 sts at each end, then 2sts once and 1st twice on every 2nd row = 71 sts.
In Row 156 from Lace Pattern beg, bind off all sts.
Front:
Work as given for back considering lower neckline.
Neckline Shaping: In Row 45 from Armhole beg, bind off center 19 sts and 4 sts once, 3 sts once, 2 sts once, 1 st twice on every 2nd row at both neck edges.
In Row 156 from Lace Pattern beg, bind off rem 15 sts each side for shoulders.
Sleeves:
Cast on 37 sts and work 3 rows in Rib Patt.
Cont as foll: selv st, 16 sts in Lace Pat (beg with Stitch 4), 3 sts in Rib Pat, 16 sts in Lace Pat (beg with Stitch 1), selv st.
Sleeve Shaping: Cont in pats as established, in Row 9 from Lace Pattern beg, inc 1 st at each end, then 1 st 7 times on every 8th row, 1 st 6 times on every 6th row = 67 sts.
Work the inc sts into Lace Pattern, then work in Rib Pattern.
Cap Shaping: In Row 115 from Lace Pattern beg, bind off 3 sts at each end, then on every 2nd row 3 sts once, 2 sts twice, 1 st 15 times, 3 sts twice = 71 sts.
In Row 43 from Cap Shaping beg, bind off rem 5 sts.
Finishing:
Join shoulder seams. Sew in sleeves, join side and sleeve seams.
Set in sleeves.
With crochet hook, work 1 row crab st (= sc from left to right) evenly around neck edge, ending with ss (slip stitch).
