Lace Strip Sweater

Materials:
350 g Yarn (40% Alpaca, 60% Merino Wool); 1 pair quick knit needles and 1 circular knitting needle, both size 2.5.
Gauge: 24.5 sts and 29 rows = 10 x 10 cm;
(chart 2): 22.5 sts and 29 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Back:
Cast on 105 sts and work in pat acc to chart 1as foll : selv st, work patt rep 14 times, end with 5 sts after patt rep and 1selv st.
Cont until work meas 40 cm from cast on.
Shape armholes: cast off 5 sts on 1 foll alt row, 3 sts on 1 foll alt row and 1 st on 3 foll alt rows = 83 sts.
When work meas 60 cm from cast on, cast off centre 21 sts and complete both sides separately.
Cast off 3 sts on next alt row at neck edge and 2 sts on foll alt row.
At the same time, shape shoulders on both sides: cast off outer 9 sts on 2 foll alt rows and 8 sts on next alt row.
Front:
Cast on 107 sts and work as foll: selv st, 39 sts in pat acc to chart 1 (work patt rep 5 times + 4 sts after patt rep), 27 sts in pat acc to chart 2, 39 sts in pat acc to chart 1 (work sts 2-7 patt rep once + work patt rep 4 times + 5 sts after patt rep), selv st.
Cont until work meas 40 cm from cast on.
Shape armholes: cast off 5 sts on 1 foll alt row, 3 sts on 1 foll alt row and 1 st on 3 foll alt rows = 85 sts.
When work meas 60 cm from cast on, cast off centre 21 sts and complete both sides separately.
Cast off 3 sts on next alt row at neck edge, 2 sts on foll alt row and 1 st on foll alt row.
Cont until work meas 60 cm from cast on.
Shape shoulders: cast off outer 9 sts on 2 foll alt rows and 8 sts on next alt row on both sides.
Sleeve:
Cast on 49 sts and work in pat acc to chart 1as foll : selv st, work patt rep 6 times, end with 5 sts after patt rep and 1selv st.
Shape sleeve: Inc 1st at each end of 17 foll 6th rows = 83 sts.
Work new sts acc to patt.
Cont until work meas 44 cm from cast on.
Shape top: cast off 5 sts at each end of next row, 3 sts on 1 foll alt row and 2 sts on 1 foll alt row, 1 st on 17 foll alt rows, 2 sts on 1 foll alt row, 3 sts foll 1 alt row and cast off rem 19 sts.
Rep for other sleeve.
Finishing:
Join shoulder seams.
Neckband: Using circular needle, pick up 95 sts along neckline and work 14 rnds in gst. Cont until band meas 6 rnds and evenly dec 16 sts = 80 sts.
Cast off all sts.
Sew in sleeves, join side and sleeve seams.
