Simple Cross Check Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Cross Check Stitch:

Work with a multiple of 22 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 25 stitches (1 + 22 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side rows.

On Wrong Side rows, work all sts as they appear.

The patt rep = 22 sts wide.

Begin with 1 edge st and stitch before patt rep, work patt rep throughout, end with 1 edge st.

C6B: slip 3 sts to cable needle, hold to back, K3, K3 from cable needle

Rows 1, 3 and 5: edge st, k1, * p2, k6, p2, k12 *; repeat from * to *, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, k1, * p2, C6B, p2, k12 *; repeat from * to *, edge st.

Row 9: edge st, k1, * p2, k6, p2, k12 *; repeat from * to *, edge st.

Row 11, 13 and 15: edge st, k1, * k11, p2, k6, p2, k1 *; repeat from * to *, edge st.

Row 17: edge st, k1, * k11, p2, C6B, p2, k1 *; repeat from * to *, edge st.
