Read RS rows from right to left, WS rows from left to right.

The pat rep = 2 sts.

Row 1: selv st, * P1, slip 1 st with yo together pwise, rep from *, selv st.

Row 2: selv st, * slip 1 st with 2yo's together pwise, K1, rep from *, selv st.

Row 3: selv st, * P1, slip 1 st with 3yo's together pwise, rep from *, K5, selv st.

Row 4: selv st, * K1tbl (Knit stitch through back loop) with 3yo's together , K1, rep from *, selv st.

Rows 5 and 7: Knit.

Rows 6 and 8: Purl.

Repeat Rows 1-8 thoughout.
