Relief Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Relief Stitch:

Work with multiple of 10 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 17 sts (7 + 7 + 1 + 2 edge sts) and work according to сhart.

The chart shows Right Side rows and Wrong Side rows.

The numbers at right edge of chart indicate RS rows, and at left edge WS rows.

The patt rep = 7 sts.

slip wyif: slip 1 pwise, leave yarn at front of work

Rows 1, 3 and 5: knit all stitches.

Rows 2, 4 and 6: edge st, slip wyif, * p6, slip wyif, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Rows 7 and 9: edge st, * k1, p6, repeat from * to last 2 sts, k1, edge st.

Rows 8 and 10: edge st, slip wyif, * k6, slip wyif, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-10 throughout.
