How to knit Relief Stitch:

Multiple of 3 + 1 + 2 edge sts.

Cast on 15 sts (3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 1 + 2 edge sts) and work according to сhart.

RS row and WS row are shown.

Read RS row from right to left, WS row from left to right.

The pat rep = 3 sts.

Begin with 1 selv st, work patt rep throughout, end with st after patt rep and 1 selv st.

Row 1: knit all sts.

Row 2: purl all sts.

Row 3: selvage st (edge), * P1, C2F (= sIip 1 st to cn, hold to front, K1, K st from cn), repeat from *, end with P1, selvage st.

Row 4: selvage st (edge), K1, * C2BP (= sIip 1 st to cn, hold to back, P1, P st from cn), K1, repeat from *, end with selvage st.

Repeat Rows 1-4 throughout.
