Mesh Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Mesh Stitch:

Work with multiple of 8 stitches + 3 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 21 stitches (2 + 8 + 8 + 1 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows Right Side and Wrong Side rows.

The pat rep = 8 sts wide.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

Row 1 (RS): edge st, k2, * skpo, yo, k3, yo, k2tog, k1, repeat from * to last 2 sts, k1, edge st.

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows (WS): purl all sts.

Row 3 (RS): edge st, yo, cdd, yo, * (k1, yo, cdd, yo) twice, repeat from *, edge st.

Repeat these 4 rows for pattern.
