Mesh Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Mesh Stitch:

Multiple of 3 + 1 + 2 edge sts. 

Cast on 18 stitches (3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 1 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows Right Side and Wrong Side rows.

Read RS row from right to left, WS row from left to right.

The pat rep = 3 sts wide.

Row 1 (Wrong Side - set-up row): purl all sts.

Row 2 (Right Side): edge st, * slip, slip, knit slipped sts together as one stitch through the back loop, then with the left needle, pick up the last loop of the 2 sts knitted together on the right needle and knit together with the next st; yo (= yarn over), repeat from * to last 2 sts, k1, edge st.

Rows 3 and 5 (Wrong Side): purl all sts.

Row 4 (Right Side): edge st, k1, yo, * slip, slip, knit slipped sts together as one stitch through the back loop, then with the left needle, pick up the last loop of the 2 sts knitted together on the right needle and knit together with the next st, yo, repeat from * to last 4 sts, slip, slip, knit slipped sts together as one stitch through the back loop, then with the left needle, pick up the last loop of the 2 sts knitted together on the right needle and knit together with the next st, edge st.

Work rows 1-5 once, then repeat rows 2-5 throughout.
