Mesh Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Mesh Stitch:

Multiple of 6 + 1 + 2 edge sts. 

Cast on 15 stitches (1 + 6 + 6 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, work sts as they appear; work yo’s P.

The pat rep = 6 sts.

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

p2tog: purl 2 stitches together

p3tog: purl 3 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

sk2p: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 2 together and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted together stitches

Row 1: edge st, k1, * yo (yarn over), p1, p3tog, p1, yo, k1, repeat from * to the last 7 sts, yo, p1, p3tog, p1, yo, k1, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, k1, * k1, yo, sk2p, yo, k2, repeat from * to the last 7 sts, k1, yo, sk2p, yo, k2, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, p2tog, * p1, yo, k1, yo, p1, p3tog, repeat from * to the last 6 sts, p1, yo, k1, yo, p1, p2tog, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, k2tog, * yo, k3, yo, sk2p, repeat from * to the last 6 sts, yo, k3, yo, skpo, edge st.

Repeat rows 1-8 throughout.
