How to knit pattern with long loop:

Multiple of 11 + 4 + 2 selvage sts. 

Cast on 17 stitches (11 + 4 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

RS rows and WS rows are shown.

Read RS rows from right to left, WS rows from left to right.

The pat rep = 11 sts wide.

Row 1: selv st (edge), *P4, (knit 1st with 2yo's together, P1) 3 times, knit 1st with 2yo's together, repeat from *, end with P4 and selv st.

Row 2: selv st, K4, * (slip 1st with 2yo's together, leave yarn at front of work, K1) 4 times, K3, repeat from *, selv st.

Row 3: selv st, * P4, (slip 1 pwise, yo's to be dropped, leave yarn at back of work, P1) 3 times, slip 1 pwise, yo's to be dropped, leave yarn at back of work, repeat from *, end with P4 and selv st.

Row 4: selv st, K4, * (slip 1 pwise, leave yarn at front of work, K1) 4 times, K3, repeat from *, selv st.

Repeat Rows 1-4 throughout.
