Leaves Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Leaves Stitch:

Work with multiple of 18 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 21 sts (1 + 18 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, purl all sts and yo’s.

The pat rep = 18 sts wide.

Begin with edge st and st before patt rep, work patt rep throughout, end with edge st.

yo: yarn over

K3tog: knit 3 stitches together 

sk2p: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 2 together and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted together stitches

Rows 1 and 7: edge st, k1, * k4, k3tog, (yo, k1) 3 times, yo, sk2p, k5, repeat from *, edge st.

Rows 3 and 9: edge st, k1, * k2, k3tog, (k1, yo) twice, k3, (yo, k1) twice, sk2p, k3, repeat from *, edge st.

Rows 5 and 11: edge st, k1, * k3tog, k1, (k1, yo) twice, k5, (yo, k1) twice, k1, sk2p, k1, repeat from *, edge st.

Rows 13 and 19: edge st, k1, * yo, k1, yo, sk2p, k9, k3tog, (yo, k1) twice, repeat from *, edge st.

Rows 15 and 21: edge st, k1, * (k1, yo) twice, k1, sk2p, k5, k3tog, k1, (yo, k1) twice, k1, repeat from *, edge st.

Rows 17 and 23: edge st, k1, * k1, (k1, yo) twice, k2, sk2p, k1, k3tog, k2, (yo, k1) twice, k2, repeat from *, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-24 throughout.
