Leaf Cable Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Leaf Cable Stitch:

Work with multiple of 35 stitches + 2 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 39 sts (35 + 2 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, work all sts as they appear; work yo's Purl.

The patt rep = 35 sts wide.

Begin with 1 edge st, work patt rep throughout, end with 2 sts after patt rep and 1 edge st.

yo: yarn over

K3tog: knit 3 stitches together

sk2p: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 2 together and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted together stitches

C6B: slip 3 sts to cable needle, hold to back, K3, K3 from cable needle

C6F: slip 3 sts to cable needle, hold to front, K3, K3 from cable needle

Row 1: edge st, * p2, k16, p1, k16; repeat from * to last 3 sts; p2, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, * p2, k6, k3tog, yo, k1, yo, k6, p1, k6, yo, k1, yo, sk2p, k6; repeat from * to last 3 sts; p2, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, * p2, k4, k3tog, k1, yo, k1, yo, k7, p1, k7, yo, k1, yo, k1, sk2p, k4; repeat from * to last 3 sts; p2, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, * p2, k2, k3tog, k2, yo, k1, yo, k2, C6F, p1, C6B, k2, yo, k1, yo, k2, sk2p, k2; repeat from * to last 3 sts; p2, edge st.
