Leaf Cable Stitch Knitting Pattern
How to knit Leaf Cable Stitch:
Work with multiple of 14 stitches + 13 + 2 edge stitches.
Cast on 29 sts (6 + 14 + 7 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.
The chart shows only Right Side Rows.
On Wrong Side rows, work sts as they appear and yo's P.
The patt rep = 14 sts wide.
Begin with 1 edge st and 6 sts before patt rep, work patt repeat throughout, end with 7 sts after patt and 1 edge st.
yo: yarn over
k2tog: knit 2 stitches together
skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch
p2tog: purl 2 stitches together
p2tog tbl: purl two stitches together as one stitch through the back loop
cddp (Central Double Decrease): transpose the order of the first and second stitch on the left needle; then purl the three stitches together
2-st RT: skip 1 st, knit 2nd st before first st, without dropping from LH needle, knit the first st, drop both sts from LH needle
2-st LT: knit through the back loop 2nd st behind first st, without dropping from LH needle, knit the first st, drop both sts from LH needle
Row 1: edge st, p4, 2-st RT, * k1, 2-st LT, p9, 2-st RT; repeat from * to last 8 sts, k1, 2-st LT, p4, edge st.
Row 3: edge st, p2, p2tog, 2-st RT, yo, * k1, yo, 2-st LT, p2tog tbl, p5, p2tog, 2-st RT, yo; repeat from * to last 8 sts, k1, yo, 2-st LT, p2tog tbl, p2, edge st.
