Lace Zigzag Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Zigzag Stitch:

Work with multiple of 10 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 13 stitches (1 + 10 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows RS rows and WS rows.

Read RS rows from right to left, WS rows from left to right.

The pat rep = 10 sts wide.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

sk2p: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 2 together and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted together stitches

Rows 1, 3 and 5 (RS): edge st, k1, * p1, k1, repeat from *, edge st.

Rows 2, 4 and 6 (WS): edge st, k1, * p1, k1, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 7 (RS): edge st, k1, * yo, skpo, k5, k2tog, yo, k1, repeat from *, edge st.

Rows 8, 10, 12 and 14 (WS): purl all sts.

Row 9 (RS): edge st, k1, * k1, yo, skpo, k3, k2tog, yo, k2, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 11 (RS): edge st, k1, * k2, yo, skpo, k1, k2tog, yo, k3, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 13 (RS): edge st, k1, * k3, yo, sk2p, yo, k4, repeat from *, edge st.

Repeat rows 1-14 throughout.
