Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Stitch:

Multiple of 14 + 9 + 2 edge sts.

Cast on 25 sts (2 + 14 + 7 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, purl all sts and yo’s.

The pat rep = 14 sts wide.

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

yo: yarn over

Rows 1, 5 and 9: edge st, k2, * k2tog, yo, k1, yo, skpo, k9, repeat from * to last 8 sts, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, skpo, k2, edge st.

Rows 3 and 7: edge st, p1, k2tog, * yo, k3, yo, skpo, p7, k2tog, repeat from * to last 7 sts, yo, k3, yo, skpo, p1, edge st.

Rows 11, 15 and 19: edge st, k2, * k7, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, skpo, k2, repeat from * to last 8 sts, k7, edge st.

Rows 13 and 17: edge st, p2, * p6, k2tog, yo, k3, yo, skpo, p1, repeat from * to last 8 sts, p7, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-20 throughout.
