How to knit Lace Stitch:

Work with a multiple of 6 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 21 stitches (3 + 6 + 6 + 4 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.

The chart shows Right Side rows and Wrong Side rows.

The numbers at right edge of chart indicate Right Side rows, and at left edge Wrong Side rows.

Read Right Side rows from right to left, Wrong Side rows from left to right.

The patt rep = 6 stitches wide.

k: Knit

p: Purl

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

sk2p: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 2 together and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted together stitches

Row 1 (right side): edge stitch, p1, yo, skpo, * p1, k2tog, yo, p1, yo, skpo *; repeat from * to *; p1, k2tog, yo, p1, edge stitch.

Row 2 (wrong side): edge stitch, k2, p1, k1, * p1, k3, p1, k1 *; repeat from * to *; p1, k2, edge stitch.

Row 3: edge stitch, p2, yo, * sk2p, yo, p3, yo *; repeat from * to *; sk2p, yo, p2, edge stitch.

Row 4: edge stitch, k2, p2, * p1, k3, p2 *; repeat from * to *; p1, k2, edge stitch.
