Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Stitch:

Work with a multiple of 11 sts + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 25 sts (6 + 11 + 6 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, purl all sts and yo’s.

The patt rep = 11 sts wide.

Begin with 1 edge st and 6 sts before patt rep, work patt rep throughout, end with 6 sts after patt rep and 1 edge st.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

Rows 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9: edge st, k2, skpo, yo, k2, * k2, yo, k2tog, k3, skpo, yo, k2 *; repeat from * to *; k2, yo, k2tog, k2, edge st.

Rows 11 and 15: edge st, skpo, yo, k4, * k4, yo, cdd, yo, k4 *; repeat from * to *; k4, yo, k2tog, edge st.

Row 13: edge st, k3, yo, k2tog, k1, * k1, skpo, yo, k5, yo, k2tog, k1 *; repeat from * to *; k1, skpo, yo, k3, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-16 throughout.
