Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Stitch: 

Work with a multiple of 6 sts + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 15 sts (3 + 6 + 4 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, purl all sts and yo’s.

The patt rep = 6 sts wide.

Begin with 1 edge st and 3 sts before patt rep, work patt repeat throughout, end with 4 sts after patt rep and 1 edge st.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

Row 1: edge st, k1, yo, skpo, * k1, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, skpo *; repeat from * to *; k1, k2tog, yo, k1, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, k1, yo, k1, * cdd, (k1, yo) twice, k1 *; repeat from * to *; cdd, k1, yo, k1, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, k1, k2tog, yo, * k1, yo, skpo, k1, k2tog, yo *; repeat from * to *; k1, yo, skpo, k1, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, k2tog, yo, k1, * k2, yo, cdd, yo, k1 *; repeat from * to *; k2, yo, skpo, edge st.

Repeat these 8 rows for pattern.
