Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern
How to knit Lace Stitch:
Work with a multiple of 12 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.
Cast on 27 sts (6 + 12 + 7 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.
The chart shows only Right Side Rows.
On Wrong Side Rows, purl all sts and yo’s.
The patt rep = 12 sts wide.
Begin with 1 edge st and 6 sts before patt rep, work patt rep throughout, end with 3 sts after patt rep and 1 edge st.
yo: yarn over
k2tog: knit 2 stitches together
skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch
sk2p: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 2 together and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted together stitches
Rows 1, 5 and 9: edge st, k4, k2tog, * k1, skpo, k7, k2tog *; repeat from * to *; k1, skpo, k4, edge st.
Rows 3, 7 and 11: edge st, k1, * (yo, k1) twice, k2tog, * k1, skpo, (k1, yo) 4 times, k1, k2tog *; repeat from * to *; k1, skpo, (k1, yo) twice, k1, edge st.
