Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern
How to knit Lace Stitch:
Work with a multiple of 10 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.
Cast on 23 sts (5 + 10 + 6 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.
The chart shows only Right Side Rows.
On Wrong Side Rows, purl all sts and yo’s.
The patt rep = 10 sts wide.
yo: yarn over
k2tog: knit 2 stitches together
skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch
cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch
Rows 1 and 5: knit all stitches.
Row 2 and all even-numbered rows: purl all sts and yo’s.
Row 3: edge st, * k2tog, yo *; repeat from * to *; k1, edge st.
Row 7: edge st, k1, yo, skpo, k2, * k3, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, skpo, k2 *; repeat from * to *; k3, k2tog, yo, k1, edge st.
Row 9: edge st, k2, yo, skpo, k1, * k2, k2tog, yo, k3, yo, skpo, k1 *; repeat from * to *; k2, k2tog, yo, k2, edge st.
Row 11: edge st, k3, yo, skpo, * k1, k2tog, yo, k5, yo, skpo *; repeat from * to *; k1, k2tog, yo, k3, edge st.
Row 13: edge st, k4, yo, * cdd, yo, k7, yo *; repeat from * to *; cdd, yo, k4, edge st.
Row 15: edge st, k4, p1, * p2, k2, k2tog, k1, yo, k2, p1 *; repeat from * to *; p2, k4, edge st.
