Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Stitch: 

Work with multiple of 21 stitches + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 23 sts and work according to chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, work all sts and yo’s P.

The pat rep = 21 sts wide.

Repeat patt between edge stitches throughout.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

Rows 1, 3 and 5: edge st, * k2tog, (k1, yo) twice, k1, skpo, k7, k2tog, (k1, yo) twice, k1, skpo, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, * k3, (yo, k1) twice, skpo, k2, cdd, k2, k2tog, (k1, yo) twice, k3, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Row 9: edge st, * k4, (yo, k1) twice, skpo, k1, cdd, k1, k2tog, (k1, yo) twice, k4, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Row 11: edge st, * k5, (yo, k1) twice, skpo, cdd, k2tog, (k1, yo) twice, k5, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-12 throughout.
