Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Stitch: 

Work with multiple of 20 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 23 sts (1 + 20 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, work all sts and yo’s P.

The pat rep = 20 sts wide.

Begin with 1 edge st and stitch before patt rep, work patt repeat throughout, end with 1 edge st.

yo: yarn over

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

Row 1: edge st, k1, * k3, yo, k3, cdd, yo, k1, yo, cdd, k3, yo, k4, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, k1, * k2, yo, k3, cdd, yo, k3, yo, cdd, k3, yo, k3, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, k1, * k1, yo, k3, cdd, yo, k5, yo, cdd, k3, yo, k2, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, k1, * yo, k3, cdd, yo, k7, yo, cdd, k3, yo, k1, repeat from *, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-8 throughout.
