Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern
How to knit Lace Stitch:
Work with multiple of 12 stitches + 2 edge stitches.
Cast on 26 sts (6 + 12 + 6 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.
The chart shows only RS rows.
On WS rows, work all sts and yo’s P.
The pat rep = 12 sts wide.
Begin with 1 edge st and 6 sts before patt rep, work patt repeat throughout, end with 6 sts after patt and 1 edge st.
yo: yarn over
k2tog: knit 2 stitches together
skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch
2-st RT: knit 2nd st before first st, without dropping from LH needle, knit the first st, drop both sts from LH needle
2-st LT: knit through the back loop 2nd st behind first st, without dropping from LH needle, knit the first st, drop both sts from LH needle
Row 1: knit all sts.
Row 3: edge st, k3, k2tog, yo, * 2-st LT, yo, skpo, k6, k2tog, yo, repeat from * to last 8 sts, 2-st LT, yo, skpo, k3, edge st.
Row 5: edge st, k2, k2tog, yo, 2-st LT, * 2-st RT, yo, skpo, k4, k2tog, yo, 2-st LT, repeat from * to last 7 sts, 2-st RT, yo, skpo, k2, edge st.
Row 7: edge st, k2tog, yo, 2-st LT, k2, * k2, 2-st RT, yo, skpo, k2tog, yo, 2-st LT, k2, repeat from * to last 7 sts, k2, 2-st RT, yo, skpo, edge st.
