Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Stitch:

Work with multiple of 12 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 27 sts (6 + 12 + 7 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, work all sts and yo’s P.

The pat rep = 12 sts wide.

Begin with edge st and 6 sts before patt rep, work patt rep throughout, end with 7 sts after patt and edge st.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

Rows 1 and 3: edge st, k1, yo, k4, * cdd, k4, yo, k1, yo, k4, repeat from * to last 9 sts, cdd, k4, yo, k1, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, k2, yo, k3, * cdd, k3, yo, k3, yo, k3, repeat from * to last 9 sts, cdd, k3, yo, k2, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, k3, yo, k2, * cdd, k2, yo, k5, yo, k2, repeat from * to last 9 sts, cdd, k2, yo, k3, edge st.

Row 9: edge st, k4, yo, k1, * cdd, k1, yo, k7, yo, k1, repeat from * to last 9 sts, cdd, k1, yo, k4, edge st

Row 11: edge st, skpo, k1, yo, k3, * k4, yo, k1, cdd, k1, yo, k3, repeat from * to last 8 sts, k4, yo, k1, k2tog, edge st.
