Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Stitch:

Work with multiple of 7 stitches + 2 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 18 sts (2 + 7 + 7 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, work sts as they appear; work yo’s P.

The pat rep = 7 sts wide.

Begin with edge st and 2 sts before patt rep, work patt rep throughout, end with edge st.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

sk2p: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 2 together and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted together stitches

Rows 1 and 3: edge st, p2, * k5, p2, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, p2, * yo, k2tog, k1, skpo, yo, p2, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, p2, * k1, yo, sk2p, yo, k1, p2, repeat from *, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-8 throughout.
